2003

Lightstream is founded in Salt Lake City, Utah

Started as a global telecom solutions provider, we began the business with four employees, two network partners (Century Link and AT&T) and finished the year with 25 customers.   

2005

We ventured into network enablement to support our clients

As our business grew holistically, so did our Client’s needs. We had expanded to 15 employees, grew our customer base 10-fold and had established relationships with 13 business partners while remaining focused on our founding principal, fanatical customer service.

Our network business was also growing rapidly, and we were a top 5 partner nationally for both Verizon, CenturyLink and AT&T.

2007

Began offering Network Managed Services

Once again driven by customer needs, and always moving in a strategically sound and financially responsible direction, Lightstream added Network Services to our solutions suite. At this time we had 30 employees, 75 network partners and over 400 customers. Lightstream’s Denver office was opened in 2007 as well.   

2013

Introduced Cloud Practice

Always ahead of business trends, and with a pulse on our customers’ needs, Lightstream introduced it’s cloud practice in 2013. We added 2 cloud partners, Microsoft and AWS, and hired the industry’s best cloud professionals, growing to over 50 employees.  

2018

Cybersecurity Consulting Practice Launched

Data breaches and cyberattacks demanded the need for tailored cybersecurity solutions. We made it happen in 2018 with the introduction of our Cybersecurity Solutions Practice.

Lightstream turns 15!

CEO Jim Cassell attributes Lightstream’s rapid growth to a void in the marketplace for integrated technology solutions.

That focus has always been part of our DNA,” said Cassell. “As we’ve progressed our business with integrated cloud services and expanded networking solutions, our focus on customer care continues to drive us.”

Lightstream serves customers in all U.S. states and 198 countries.  The company has premier partnerships with industry leaders such as AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, AT&T, CenturyLink, Verizon, Barracuda Networks, and Palo Alto Networks. It also boasts a world-class Network Operations Center (NOC) located in Minneapolis, MN.

2019

2020—21

Managed Security Services introduced and launched

Lightstream, a leader in cloud security, network transformation and managed services, today announced the launch of Managed Security Services (MSS). Lightstream’s suite of managed-services solutions helps organizations better manage risk by improving security outcomes and effectiveness while meeting compliance requirements for core, mobile and public-cloud infrastructures. 

2021—23

Secure Digital Transformation business model adopted, Zero Trust Practice introduced

Custom and comprehensive solutions and consulting help drive business outcomes and help you become a secure digital enterprise.

Lightstream now boats 75 network partners, 3 cloud partners, 15 security partners and over 100 employees servicing more than 1,000 customers. Ranking on the Inc 5,000 list and MSSP Alert’s Annual Top 250 MSSPs List
