At Lightstream, we compete in an industry in which hundreds of organizations sell the many of the same services from many of the same providers that we do.  What sets us apart from the rest is the investment we have made in leading technical expertise across all the technologies we represent.  That means that when we design a solution, we don’t rely on the service provider to determine if a solution will be a fit for a customer need.  Our engineering and architect staff assesses a customer’s requirements and designs a solution that we know will work, that will meet the technical and business requirements of your organizations initiatives.  The solutions that we design and implement are a result of this vast experience and expertise.  But we don’t stop there.  Once the design is finalized, our project management and provisioning teams ensure that the solution is implemented correctly, delivered on time, and bills properly.  From start to finish, we do the right thing by our customers in any technology solution we develop; that is what we mean by integrity in the technology

Integrity is doing the right thing, no matter the circumstance.  At Lightstream, the purpose behind everything we do is to make sure that we do the right thing for our customer.  People may talk a great deal about partnership and what that means, but to us it is not something we really talk about much; our culture of fanatical customer service and support drives us to live and breathe it in everything we do.  To our customers that translates to peace of mind, because they know that we “got their back” – that we will do whatever it takes to ensure that they are taken care of.  To us that is true partnership; that is what it means to have integrity in our relationships.

Lightstream has been in business since 2002.  The company was formed by several individuals who came from the carrier space and who saw an opportunity to be able to offer a higher level of service and solutions integration than the carriers could provide by themselves.

Do I pay more with Lightstream? 2014-12-30T18:19:02+00:00

One of the common questions we are asked by prospective customers is whether they will pay more having us as a “middle man” compared to working with the carrier or cloud providers’ direct sales force.  The reality is that our organization is simply a parallel sales channel for all of the cloud and network providers we represent.  In contrast to a direct sales team, which has salary, office overhead, and benefits requirements, our indirect channel has no cost to the provider except for the commissions they pay as we sell their services.  This means that the cost to the customer is the same, regardless of which sales channel sells their services to their customers. In addition, Lightstream has additional advantage to our customers, because we know the market conditions and relative cost structures of the various providers.  This allows us to leverage that knowledge on behalf of our customers, and ensure they not only have the right technology and the right solutions, but that they get it at the best pricing possible.  We have direct relationships with the custom pricing groups of all the providers we represent.  That means we do not have to work through an onerous “chain of command” like most direct sales forces do – we go directly to the individuals with authority to approve cost structures for our customers.  This translates to a faster velocity to do business as well as the lowest cost.

Lightstream has relationships with over 50 carriers and service providers, so we can offer the right solution for you, depending the geographic locations you need to reach, the applications you are running, and the technological capabilities you require.   Carriers will almost attempt to sell you their own network services because that is how they are set up to operate.  Lightstream, on the other hand, is able to provide you the best solutions based on the need, and we are able to integrate multiple carrier solutions into a single solution.
